What matters is the grease choice and the pipe routing: LGWM 2 is usable down to −40 °C and pumps well at low temperatures, LGWM 1 is explicitly intended for central lubrication systems in cold conditions. Progressive distributor blocks of the SSV type work without rubber seals and therefore tolerate a wide temperature range. For single-point lubricators, a lithium battery pack is available for low ambient temperatures.
