Adjust or calibrate
A front weighing system is adjusted by the mechanic after assembly with a known weight or on a weighbridge. Here we speak of tuning or calibration.
Ijken
If a weighing system serves commercial purposes (which can then also be used for billing), the system must be calibrated after setup and adjustment. Certified calibration weights are used for this purpose.
After the machine with the respective weighing system has passed a number of tests, the weighing system is sealed and an official calibration certificate is prepared and given to the customer.
